The name Cumboto derives from two African words: “Cum” and “Botó”, and means “slave refuge”.

Cumboto is a very small town in the municipality of “Ocumare de la Costa de Oro”, in the state of Aragua, Venezuela.

The village is surrounded by rivers and dense jungles of the “Enri Pittier” national park.
